DROS® SPLINT

The DROS® splint is a diagnostic and therapeutic occlusal maxilla splint. It is manufactured individually at high-quality by a certified dental-technical laboratory.

Definition and principle of application of the DROS® splint

Diagnostic | Diagnostics

Relaxant | relaxation phase primarily affects the relaxation of myogenic structures of the masticatory system

Orienting | orientation phase - re-orientation of the mandible (mandible)

Stabilising occlusal splint | Stabilisation phase with the therapeutic objective of a stable condyle position

There are actually 2 phases, the DROS® I splint (relaxation phase) and the DROS® II splint (orientation and stabilisation phase).

What is to be understood by Craniomandibular Dysfunction?

 

A disordered interaction of mandible and maxilla teeth and the resulting abnormal occlusion is called CMD. The consequence is a non-physiological position of the mandibular joints.
