FUNCTION DIAGNOSTICS AND MANDIBULAR JOINT THERAPY WITH THE DROS® SPLINT

Application of the DROS® splint with patients:

> without symptoms - in case of bruxism, pressing and grinding of teeth, mandibular joint cracking, unclear dental occlusion, loss of vertical dimension of occlusion, new prosthesis, new prosthesis on implants as well as toothless patients.

> with symptoms - in case of CMD symptoms, such as aggravated mouth opening, jaw and muscular pain, mandibular joint pain, mandibular joint arthrosis, face and headache, neck, shoulder and back pain as well as ear problems such as tinnitus.

Early treatment is important!

Early treatment is important, since dentition malfunction and strain on mandibular joints continue to progress and therefore substantially decrease healing chances.

CMD

What is to be understood by Craniomandibular Dysfunction?

A disordered interaction of mandible and maxilla teeth and the resulting abnormal occlusion is called CMD. The consequence is a non-physiological position of the mandibular joints.
